KnoWEwell Expands Hub for Formula, Human Milk, Wet Nurse Exchange

As a result of the pandemic, we have all experienced shortages or delays of one type or another in obtaining goods. But if you are a parent of an infant child, starting in February you likely began experiencing frightening shortages of essential baby formula because of a recall by one of the industry leaders. And four months later the situation has gotten worse, not better.

KnoWEwell is here with updated information and resources to help worried parents, including a new exchange for formula, human milk, and wet nurse services. KnoWEwell founder and CEO, Kimberly Whittle, stated, "We are committed to using our community platform to help people in need. We have expanded our community directory filters for volunteers and families in need of infant formulas with a comprehensive list of over 192 formula brands, as well as human milk sources. KnoWEwell also offers parents information and support for making informed healthy lifestyle choices for themselves and their babies. New KnoWEwell Collaborative Partners

Become an Integrative and Functional Nutrition Certified Practitioner

Increasing consumer demand, advancing technology, and the changing healthcare landscape are driving the demand for clinicians trained in integrative and functional nutrition. KnoWEwell is honored to announce its collaborative partnership with the Integrative and Functional Nutrition Academy (IFNA). Founded by two of the nation’s premier integrative medicine nutritionists, IFNA is one of the most respected online functional nutrition training and mentoring programs in the industry. IFNA’s 100% online, self-paced programs teach leading-edge, evidence-based, and whole person approaches to patient care. Their students learn to identify the “root causes” of disease, assess a patient using a “whole systems” approach, and personalize a holistic nutrition care plan to restore function and improve patient outcomes.

Through this partnership, IFNA will have a private group in KnoWEwell’s Hub and its practitioners will benefit from membership in KnoWEwell. KnoWEwell members will benefit from access to best-matched board certified Integrative and Functional Nutrition Certified Practitioners (IFNCP) within the Hub, the knowledge shared by IFNCP’s through a quarterly educational series sponsored by IFNA, and valuable discounts on all five IFNA tracks. Further, as a new member of the KnoWEwell Collaborative, IFNA is committed to supporting KnoWEwell’s Regenerative Whole Health Fund, a nonprofit fund established to help individual members in need with grants to cover their out-of-pocket costs of services from practitioners in KnoWEwell's network.

The Integrative Health Institute (IHI) was established in January 2022 to transform the education of health professionals, educators, and other inquisitive adult students through an innovative curriculum in the science, tools, and skills of health care and education. In addition, IHI's aim is to create a new generation of health and wellness practitioners and educators who are skilled at dealing with the pressures and extreme challenges in healthcare today, embody health and well-being themselves, and can provide integrative evidence-based approaches to their diverse patients, clients, and students.

The IHI curriculum will include master's programs in integrative health and holistic practices, as well as integrative health coaching and continuing education programs for individuals and organizations.

IHI friends, students and alumni will benefit from KnoWEwell membership and their own private group.
